Boosting your immunity has become important over the past 2 years. I've been making this syrup for my family and some friends over the past 7 years. You've probably seen tons of variations for this syrup, this is mine.
I began making this from a recipe I found while googling 'how to boost your immune system'. I've tweaked it a bit to help with the taste. Before my kids became teens, it was one of those things I forced on them once a day from October to April, to help get us through the winter sickness free. Now, they take it freely, most of the time.
This is ultimately my favorite go to in the winter months and when someone in my family starts to feel sick. One tablespoon each day will help boost your immunity. When you start to feel ill, take 3 tablespoons throughout the day to fight the infection and shorten your illness. For me, it's worked, every single time over the past 7 years.
Honey and ACV Syrup
Ingredients
½ cup organic honey, preferably local
1 tbsp. organic apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. organic cinnamon
1/2 tsp. organic tumeric
1 clove chopped garlic
dash of organic lemon juice for taste
Add all ingredients into a glass jar with a sealable cap
Mix with a spoon until cinnamon and tumeric are well mixed into the liquid
Store in a cabinet
Let the mixture sit over night, but it's ok to take a tablespoon after you've mixed it. The taste seems to improve with time. If the vinegar taste is too much, add a tad bit more honey and mix to lessen the tangy taste. This mixture won't go bad, but could harden up if you let it sit too long.
